iMuscle 2 App Reviews

Very good, very innovative app

I was looking for soemthing that would help me understand the muscular anatomy and what I’d be working with different weight-lifting exercises. iMuscle2 fit that requirement perfectly. While I have many resources for weight-lifting exercises, this app helps me keep straight in my head what body part I’m working with what exercise. I found that I was missing some from my workouts completely, like the rear deltoids. The app itself functions well, and is easy to navigate. The only problem I’ve had is that the application locks up if I close my laptop lid and then re-open it while the app is on the screen. That may just be my particular configuration. I have a MacBook Pro summer 2012. I’d recommend this app to anyone trying to get a handle on what exercises are for what muscle, and to better learn the muscular anatomy involved. Yes, it is not an encyclopedia of exercises for each bodypart, but the exercises provided are quite enough for starters. I’m very pleased with this inexpensive solution to my questions.

Good application

So far I am enjoying this application. It delivers a crisp clear 3D diagram of the muscualr system, yet more than a few muscles were missing. This is disapointing. I’m not sure if they were left out becasue there is no way to “work” them, but I am looking forward to the update that includes all muscles. Another feature that would help____ if you clicked on the name, it would say the name of the muscle to help with pronuncation. Overall good application.

Best workout app

very good app i use it all the time and make workouts. very awesome app

Great app

Really helpful in designing an exercise program. Can work on specific area to improve. Well worth the $

Great App

This is a must have for anyone serious about working out. It will give you exercises to keep you going so you never get bored and you can create your own workouts on your computer and sync them with your iPhone and your iPad. I love it and have been using it for years. So females lets get to it.

DOES NOT SYNC BETWEEN IOS DEVICES, OR BETWEEN MAC AND IOS!

The company was not able to fix this issue. They did not offer a refund. But they keep deleting this review. If they delete this negative review, they must be deleting all the negative reviews. So I’ll post it again. What’s the point of being able to read reviews if the company removes the negative ones? iCloud back/up sync doesnt work. I cant sync between ios devices: iPhone and iPad, NOR can I sync between my Macbook and either ios device. I only bought this app for its sync feature. Whats going on here?

Crashes

Bought Mac and iPhone version with desire to sync the data. Downloaded free home exercises on iPhone and set up a new workout. Tried to restore data to Mac version, so that I wouldnt have to reenter the workout data, and I got a message saying that I needed to enable the free home exercise content on the mac. Then the app crashes. No matter what I try, I cannot enable the free content on the mac without the application crashing. Doesnt let me into the store. since my iPhone has the free content and the mac does not, I am unable to sync the databases. Three stars until this is fixed. Also note that this appliation does not do a true iCloud sync. You have to use the backup/restore function and hope that you don’t write over the latest data. This too needs to be improved. Visually the app is very nice, and the developer seems to be keeping the software up to date. Fix the sync issues and I’ll give it 5 stars.

Well worth the investment!

Ive been using this app for years and since its original release the developers have updated regularly with new content and features. I never had to pay for an upgrade and the content they add is probably worth a few $$$. I sync data between my iDevices all the time. Best fitness app available on the app store.

Great App & Awesome Support

iMuscle 2 is a must-have app if you wish to get the most out of your workouts. Know what muscles you are working, so that you can get a balanced workout. All 3D4Medical apps are very informative, thorough, and user-friendly. Plus if you have a question, technical support is quick to respond. Most recently, Nicola N. & Jeff R. have been really helpful. Thanks 3D4Medical for great products & the best team!

Really want to give it 5 stars

I REALLY like this app, but everytime i make my own workout the app closes with an error.

Very good but...

This app is very good like the other reviews state, with great graphics and animation as well as a lot of exercises. However, it is missing a few core features and could use a few others. First is that it doesn’t have cardio exercises. So when you are looking at a your progress you only see calories burned for stretching or weight training. Second is that it doesn’t sync across devices. I own all three versions (laptop, iPad and iPhone) and each has to be setup separately and what you record on one doesn’t sync to the others. The other features that would be great to add would be the ability add (i.e. purchase) packages that center on specific types of machines. For example my gym has Star Trac exercise equipment which has some variations on the exercise machines already provided in the app. To improve accuracy and tracking of my workout, I would purchase those types of add-ons. Additionally, it would be great to be able to add comments to each exercise or routine. I’d like to note difficulty or machine setting (which isn’t always weight) or how a stretch felt which I could use in my next workout. Finally, the ability to sync with other apps that provide additional reports and graphs would be great. I also use Training Peaks and would love to see my exercises on their calendar and included in their graphs as well as seeing the exercises I do there in your app (especially for tracking weight, calories burned, etc.) Note that I love all of the great 3D4Medical apps, having purchased many of them. I just think this one could be improved from very good.

Cardio

So far the app looks great. One drawback—cardio is an important aspect of fitness. I do not see any cardio presets (e.g. sprints, running, treadmill, etc) in the software yet. If it is there, assistance finding and using is greatly appreciated.

Great App

I’m not a doctor or physical trainer but being able to target the muscle that is giving you problems and then going to your therapist with an intelligent question…that makes it worth all the money and more. Also, when I’m running and want to target a certain muscle group this app really helps. I’ve been running competitively for 25 years and I wish i had this when I first started.
